Caleb Plant is willing to fight Edgar Berlanga in the foreseeable future in spite of knowing that Berlanga faced a tough loss against Canelo in September. Caleb's urge rises from visualizing the scalability of the event – he believes a clash with Edgar Berlanga will be huge. However, many interviews indicate that Edgar Berlanga has other plans and would rather face other opponents because locking horns with Canelo for a rematch is one of his top priorities. Discussions have been raised with Eddie Hearn, it will be interesting to see what the matchmakers finalize.

Caleb Plant on his next fight

Recently on Sean Zittel’s channel, Caleb Plant shared his thoughts on fighting Edgar Berlanga next.

“I’d like to fight Berlanga next, even though he lost. I think that’s a big fight for boxing. The fans would love it; I would love it. It’s a fight that I want,” Plant said, as quoted by boxingnews24.com. "The fans would love to see Caleb and Edgar  fight, but there’s no interest on Edgar’s part to take the clash because he’s looking for the biggest money fights possible. Caleb-Edgar isn’t as big as Berlanga-Munguia or against Jermall.”

Those are the guys.’ With that answer, he didn’t sound super interested. Me whooping his ***,” “The IQ, the ring generalship, fundamentals, and my heart. Everything. Even on the inside. I’m a better inside fighter than him. I have a lot more tricks than him. I have a lot more traps than him. Mark’s a good coach, but I have better teachers than him, too.”

“Did your respect for him() go up as a fighter seeing him go the distance with Canelo?”

Caleb Plant: “Is that the level we respect now? Like It doesn’t matter if he wins a round as long as he survived, not really. I definitely won more rounds(with Canelo) and I… pic.twitter.com/OW4yH9R72u
