Carlos Alcaraz has shown for the umpteenth time that he is one of the most talented tennis players, who really has the potential to do magical things in the future, even though we are already used to it from him.

The Spaniard appeared early on the tennis scene, but it is clear that he has been a dominant figure in this sport for years.

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz became the first to reach the semifinals of the clay-court ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome after a quarterfinal victory over Britain's Jack Draper 6-4, 6-4.

Alcaraz got back at the Briton after a recent defeat in Indian Wells, where Draper was better in the semifinals, and later won that Masters 1000 tournament.

The young tennis player had been waiting for this opportunity, and he made sure to use it in the right way.

Draper started the match this Wednesday better, leading in the first set 4-2. Alcaraz fought back with five games in a row. He won the first set 6-4 and opened the second set with a break. Draper immediately came back in the second set, made a break and then left a better impression, but succumbed at 4-4 for the final fall against the third seed in the Rome tournament.

In the semifinals, the 21-year-old Alcaraz awaits the winner of the match in which German Alexander Zverev and Italian Lorenzo Musetti meet later on Wednesday.

Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud, respectively, Hubert Hurkacz and Tommy Paul will play the quarter-final matches on Thursday.

Coco Gauff vs Mira Andreyeva

Earlier on Wednesday, the number three tennis player in the world, the American Coco Gauff, advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, defeating the Russian Mira Andreyeva 6-4, 7-6 (5).

In the semi-finals, Gauff awaits the winner of the duel between the world's number one tennis player, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, and the current Olympic champion, Qinwen Zheng of China. The American has won nine of her last ten appearances, and her only defeat was in the final of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid against Aryna Sabalenka, so she will have a chance to retaliate in Rome.
