Dana White Approaches Mark Zuckerberg to Fix UFC Rankings with AI

The UFC President Dana White on several occasions expressed how he does not approve the existing UFC rankings. Initially, Dana White indicated his disapproval by highlighting how it was wrong for Jon Jones to be ranked as the third pound-for-pound fighter.

Dana White ISN'T happy with the latest UFC  update and says he has a meeting this week to try and fix the rankings

"The morons strike again. Khalil Rountree fights that bad ass fight against Pereira, and the morons keep him at #8.

Literally this week I have a meeting… pic.twitter.com/lDPvQMyF3L

Dana can’t comprehend Islam Makhachev sitting at the top of the table ( he’s the 1st ranked pound-for-pound fighter) because he firmly thinks Jon Jones is the only ideal candidate to fulfill that position. Nevertheless, White’s problems do not end with Jones. He has also expressed his disappointment when he found out about Khalil Rountree’s spot in the current light heavyweight rankings tables.

Very interestingly, Dana White spoke to Mark Zuckerberg and raised his concerns over a conversation with him. Here are Dana’s exact words in an interview with TNT about the meeting with Zuckerberg:

“We literally had meetings this week to work on it,” White said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “I actually talked to Mark Zuckerberg, too, about AI. So I’m totally going to fix the rankings. We’re going to make a lot of strong moves here coming in to ‘25.”

He is probably planning to use AI technology to set up a clearer and fairer fighting performance assessment system that is not tainted by ‘bias’. This then could revolutionize the concept of rankings and the various criteria that are put in place to give a true representation of fighters and put champions where they rightfully deserve to be on the rankings table.
