Dominik Mysterio says it only took him one year to achieve what Rey took longer for

Dominik Mysterio is a wrestler who amazes the public more and more with his statements, reactions and performances. Guesting on  Busted Open Radio, the famous wrestler looked back at his father, saying that he had already surpassed him when it came to rising and winning the belt. Although Rey is one of the greatest in this company, young Dominik believes that he has already surpassed all his successes.

“How long did it take pops to win a single title that wasn’t the Cruiserweight in WWE? How long did it take him? I don’t… you have to Google it. You gotta google it because people don’t know people don’t know that, at least.”- he said, as quoted by Pwmania.

Dominik stresses that it only took him a year to make such a success, while in the third and fourth year he already surpassed him, winning the belt.

“And it took me, so year one, I was already a tag champ. Year three, I was the singles champ down at NXT. Year four, I already surpassed him as the greatest mysterious [Mysterio] of all time, winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.”

Dominik also referred to their WrestleMania achievements, saying that Rey had been waiting for such a moment for much longer. He described his celebration, saying that he saw his mother in the crowd, looking at her, and then shoving the belt right in her face. 

Dominik is convinced that they did not expect such a thing. 

A famous wrestler admitted that it was a special moment.

Dominik admitted a few weeks ago that transforming into a babyface is also one of the options, stressing that whatever the company wants, he is ready to adapt and enjoy such a role.

“Whatever the company wants, I’m here for them. I’m a team player and they know that. At the end of the day, whatever is best for business is going to happen.”

It will be quite interesting to see what plans the company has for him.
