When we talk about the WWE scene, fans nostalgically remember Eddie Guerrero, a well-known wrestler whose career was on the rise. However, the famous wrestler left this world too soon.
Eddie died in his room at the Marriott City Center hotel and his body was found by his cousin Chavo. Chavo tried to revive Eddie but failed, Eddie was already dead. An autopsy later confirmed that Eddie suffered from asterokletortic cardiovascular disease and that this was the cause of cardiac arrest.
The news of his death strongly shook the entire world of professional wrestling. WWE dedicated both RAW and SmackDown episodes to Eddie, but numerous other companies such as TNA, ROH, CZW and others also paid tribute to the legend.
We could write countless texts about his career and we would never be able to describe his magic enough. Eddie Guerrero is the embodiment of the term "charisma" and it is something that wrestlers either have or do not have. And he had plenty of charisma. Every other aspect can be compensated for and still become a mega star, but not charisma. Without charisma it is impossible to become a megastar. But Eddie Guerrero didn't just have charisma, he was the total package.
His qualities
A wrestler who had all the components, an incredible performer, a great speaker and was simply destined for success. He started with professional wrestling in Mexico, then briefly moved to Japan, where he achieved respectable results in a short time, and then it was the turn of the USA. ECW, WCW where he gained his status and of course WWF/E where he cemented his image as a legend.
However, in private life, unfortunately, not everything went so smoothly. He got into trouble with alcohol and excessive use of painkillers. He became an addict, problems piled up and everything resulted in his dismissal, although Vince quickly forgave him and brought him back to WWE. Although Eddie "cheated" death in a car accident 6 years earlier, in November 2005 he unfortunately failed.
His dark days and addiction as well as steroid use left their mark, causing heart disease and this great wrestler left us too early. His death especially hit Vince McMahon who loved him very much. This case is one of the main reasons why WWE significantly tightened its "wellness policy" control and the use of steroids and other drugs is strictly prohibited today.
Eddie was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
