The first name of the Indiana Pacers Tyrese Haliburton disappeared in the third game of the series with Cleveland. The Cavaliers won on the away court and reduced Indiana's advantage to 2:1.
In that match, Tyrese Haliburton had only four points (2/8 from the field), five assists, three turnovers and zero rebounds in 30 minutes on the floor. After the bad game, Haliburton was not available to the media in the locker room.
This immediately started speculation that he was avoiding the press, but he said before the fourth match that this was not the case.
"I talk to you after almost every game. If I'm not available, it's not my decision. I can't control it. Now you talk to me and you can ask whatever you want".
He continued in the same tone.
"I'm sure people wanted to hear what I had to say after the third game. I don't run away from questions. I don't run away from responsibility and anyone can come up to me and ask what they're interested in."
Haliburton talks about the zone: We have to learn how to respond to that
Haliburton spoke a little in the game, more specifically about the 3-2 zone that Cleveland played and that definitely surprised the Pacers.
"We have to learn how to respond to that. I have to do a better job and be active without the ball, set up blocks, run in... I have a habit of just standing in the attack and that doesn't help anyone. It's up to me to be better because the Cavs don't help me and I think I can help my teammates stay alone and score".
Indiana has a 2:1 lead even though it is not the favorite in this series. The Pacers won two games on the sideline while Cleveland was not fully healthy (Darius Garland missed the first two games, De'Andre Hunter and Evan Mobley only missed the second). Now the trio of Cavs is back and this series could last a little longer.
