5 hours ago 3

Jake Paul has done the undone in the sport of boxing, he had the privilege of sharing the cage with massive names. Very recently he added Mike Tyson to his resume – what else is there to mark a green tick on his checklist? Some might wonder and the answer to that is perhaps: ‘public support’. The overall opinion for this fight is heavily mixed, most were against the idea of seeing Mike Tyson fighting Jake Paul. After seeing the performance their opinion became shatteringly stronger.

After 8 rounds of action, the judges declared Jake Paul the winner by unanimous decision. What disappointed most people was Mike Tyson’s inaction. Sparing the first round, Mike Tyson struggled to secure dominating moments – his pad work proficiency did not reflect inside the ring.

Due to the disparity, fans labeled the contest a ‘rigged fight’.

Jake Paul on the criticism and doubts

Recently on Impaulsive Podcast, Jake Paul shared his thoughts on people’s criticism and spoke about Mike Tyson’s performance.

“People are like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s rigged because look at him on the pads but he didn’t do this in the fight,’ because someone is * punching back you dumb *” Paul said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “People don’t realize my power, and my jab and my speed and my ability, and my footwork to get out of the way of those punches, so then all of a sudden he’s throwing at, literally, air".

Jake Paul on Mike Tyson’s performance

“He was hard to hit, He was elusive. I was missing a lot of punches. I don’t know how he gets off to the side like that. I wish he had put up a better fight so that I could’ve risen more and done more, and he was surviving. That was the only thing I didn’t like”.
