Jake Paul Still Venting Over Nate Diaz Fight: “Scared to fight me”

1 week ago 10

Jake Paul blames Nate Diaz for their unmaterialized MMA match. It promises to be one of the biggest events and according to Jake, it will be Nate Diaz’s highest payday. The refusal stems from loyalty to UFC. Jake Paul wants to fight in the PFL – this quite evidently can cause a conflict of interest.

Their previous encounter ended in a lopsided unanimous decision favoring Paul.  The YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake, of whom Diaz may represent one of the most significant challenges, has been amping up an offer to face the legend in MMA time and time again.

Jake has courted his way into being ready for the MMA game, even accusing the former UFC fighter of hesitation as to why the two are not fighting. Diaz, however, is no stranger to the fight game. Nate, who has been fighting at UFC for years in his own way accused Paul of delaying the process of signing the bout. He did this by posting the following tweet:

Sign the contract Scary and not in 12 months from now and in a shitty organization pic.twitter.com/fptB1I8tNv

Jake on fighting Nate Diaz

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Jake Paul shared his thoughts on fighting the legend for an MMA rematch.

“We want to, but our opponents don’t actually really want to,” Paul said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “It’s funny that Nate Diaz is actually scared to fight me in MMA. The biggest payday of his life would be me and him in MMA. I’m ready”.

Nate Diaz’s response

“Sign the contract Scary and not in 12 months from now and in a shitty organization Scary”.

The words exchanged between the two fighters have created hype but the hype has not been followed by affirmative actions that would result to an agreement. However, with fans waiting for the updates, the proposed fight appears to be in a fix of logistic and promotional bottlenecks. For now, though, the idea of Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz in an MMA cage remains simply an interesting what-if scenario inside the combat sports community.
