A national justice connected Wednesday blocked the Trump administration, for now, from firing national workers during the ongoing authorities shutdown.
The bid came 5 days aft the medication issued reduction-in-force notifications to much than 4,000 national workers.
"The activities that are being undertaken present are contrary to the laws," San Francisco U.S. District Court Judge Susan Yvonne Illston told lawyers for the medication connected Wednesday astatine a proceeding wherever she issued the impermanent restraining order.
"You can't bash this successful a federation of laws," Illston said, according to NBC News.
Two unions representing tens of thousands of national workers had asked Illston to artifact the RIFs. Democracy Forward, an advocacy radical representing the unions successful court, praised the judge's order.
