Knicks come alive with crucial win in Indiana, Eastern Conference finals heat up

1 week ago 9

The finals of the Eastern Conference are slowly "boiling", and after last night's victory of the New York Knicks, it is clear that they are coming back to life.

The series came to Indianapolis, but it wasn't good news for the Pacers. They made a "double break" in New York and the fans hoped that maybe they would make it to the finals with the "broom".

That won't happen, the New York Knicks made their own break last night and with a 100:106 victory, they returned to the finals of the Eastern Conference with a bang.

If the Knicks managed to completely return the series to 2:2, then many would already see the franchise from the Big Apple as the favorite in this match.

In the match with a low number of points by NBA standards, the duo of Karl Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson from the Knicks stood out the most.

Towns scored 24 points with 15 rebounds and one assist, while Brunson followed with 23 points.

Apart from them, OG Anunoby with 16 points and Mikal Bridges with 15 points are also worth mentioning in the ranks of the Knicks.

Stats: Tyrese Haliburton (20 pts)

On the other side, three basketball players stood out in the ranks of the Pacers:

Tyrese Haliburton with 20 points, four rebounds and seven assists, Myles Turner with 19 points and four rebounds, and Pascal Siakam with 17 points and four rebounds.

The next match will be played already on May 28, starting at 2 o'clock after midnight.

"I don't know if you are aware, but our medical team was voted the best in the NBA," Thibodeau started.

"They [Towns and Hart] are tough-minded, mental toughness is what's important in this time of the year even more than physical toughness."

Tom Thibodeau, Knicks coach, addressed the injuries within the team, confident that the medical team will do the right thing and help this team get individuals back as soon as possible.

It will be really interesting to follow the next matches and see who has the stronger roster.
