Although he wanted to take a step further and fight for the championship, Larson ultimately failed to do so. Kyle didn't forget to mention the NASCAR format, which caused controversy and different reactions

“It was a great year. Yeah, I was super, super happy with the performance of our race team all year long,” Larson said.

“We had a ton of speed from race one to race 38, really. Yeah, I was happy. Obviously you want to make the final four and have a shot at the championship but at the same point, like, I also understand the format and know kind of how crazy it can be and all that. So, I don’t let finishing sixth in points take anything away from our season."

Kyle Larson's interesting goals for 2025

Kyle Larson had the opportunity to debut in the Indy Charlotte Double this year. Many were impressed by his performance and finding his way into a new role. Not long after that, the 32-year-old flew to Charlotte, however, he was surprised to learn that the race was red-flagged due to inclement weather. This created great problems for him and debates about what could happen, given that he missed the regular race.

Fortunately for him, a few days later, although there was some skepticism, Larson received a waiver.

Despite everything that happened, the 32-year-old is still hungry to do the feat, happy with the months behind him and what he has shown. Kyle admitted that he enjoyed May, but was disappointed that he couldn't compete in the Coca-Cola 600. Next year, Larson will be just as motivated to make it a success, and we'll see if he succeeds in that.

We hope he doesn't create a problem for himself this time.

“I really enjoyed the month of May in Indy and racing with Arrow McLaren, but I was really disappointed with missing the Coca-Cola 600 with the No. 5 HendrickCars.com team. I appreciate the second opportunity because we have unfinished business. I really want to complete all 1100 miles, and I think we have the opportunity to battle for the win in both events," Larson said via McLaren.
