Grand Theft Auto officials have a lot of projects and novelties in mind, and although most of the attention is focused on GTA VI, which fans are looking forward to and eagerly awaiting, the creators of this game have a few more ideas that they could implement this year.
Niko Belić is coming back to America! It's not official yet, but there are rumors that it could.
A well-known insider in all things Rockstar, a guy nicknamed Tez2, says that someone from Rockstar mentioned to him that a GTA 4 port has been in development for current consoles for a year. And that same source states that it was for this reason that Rockstar banned the large Liberty City Preservation Project mod this year, which intended to transfer the city from GTA 4 to GTA 5.
Let's remember, GTA 4 is one of the most important and biggest games from the PS3/X360 era that never got its versions for either the PS4/XBO or the PS5/XS generations of consoles. The X360 version with improvements can be played on Xbox consoles, while the old GTA 4 is completely unavailable to owners of PS4 and PS5 consoles.
That could reportedly change this year. For now, there is no guarantee that this will be the case, but Rockstar's practice so far indicates that it could happen. Eight years ago, Rockstar launched re-releases of games such as Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas and GTA 5.
Max Payne 3: PS5 consoles
In addition to GTA 4, another Rockstar game - Max Payne 3 - with which the situation is the same, could get a new version for PS5 and XS consoles. As remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2 are coming to us in the future, it is possible that Rockstar wants to offer players to complete the series with them with a third part that is not playable on the last two PlayStation consoles.
Rockstar Games is doing great things, no doubt about it!
