The Oklahoma City Thunder team convincingly triumphed over the Denver Nuggets in the decisive game of the second round of the NBA championship playoffs, and the final result was 125:93.
The biggest Denver star, Nikola Jokic, reacted to the team's defeat, aware that his team had to do much more.
"This game is similar to the other one - we lost balls, we didn't hit enough shots, they were aggressive in transition, they gave us back for every basket, hit shots... You know, the same two referees as in the second game, so... Hence the similarities with that clash", Nikola said after the defeat.
When asked if he thinks his team could win the title if his teammates were healthy, the popular basketball player had an interesting answer.
"I mean... We didn't, so obviously we couldn't. If we could, we would have done that. I don't believe in those 'what if' stories. We had a chance and we didn't win," Nikola said, unsure of various scenarios, but at the same time aware that it was too late for analysis.
Euro Basket
The Serbian basketball player is known as a person who always gives his maximum while playing for the national team. Quite interesting challenges await him in the future with the Serbian team.
Jokic is motivated to do great things.
The end of August and the first half of September will be marked by Eurobasket, and Serbia will spend the entire tournament in Latvia. Jokic was asked about last summer and this one, making a comparison between the previous year and this year.
"I think the Olympic Games made me better. You know, I played with other players, that made me better. I should think about (participating in) Eurobasket, I will talk to the coaches and some of the main players. We'll see, but the next few days will be marked by a large amount of beer, probably," concluded Jokic.
