U.S. President Donald Trump is removing Billy Long as the commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will temporarily service arsenic acting commissioner, a White House official and a root acquainted with the substance said connected Friday.

The New York Times, which archetypal reported the news, said Long, a erstwhile congressman from Missouri, was expected to beryllium nominated for an ambassador post, but did not sanction the country.
