Bret Hart's wrestling career did not have a great outcome, considering that the former WWE champion had to end his career while he was still in his prime. Hart had unique wrestling qualities, significantly different from others, and doing things that others could only imagine. However, his career experienced a disaster back in 1999 after the match with Godlberg. The Canadian suffered a concussion after Goldberg hit him in the head. In an interview with Inside the Ropes, the popular wrestler expressed dissatisfaction with Goldberg's behavior, stressing that he absolutely should not be in the Hall of Fame.
“I regret that I got injured by a guy that couldn’t wrestle and has no business being in a Hall of Fame.
He should be in the Hall of Shame.”- Hart said.
In various interviews, the 67-year-old often pointed the finger at Goldberg, saying that he took his money with his move. The Canadian wrestling legend then signed a rich contract that lasted three years, but unfortunately for him, an unexpected situation led to a disaster, which left a huge mark on his career.
"When Bill Goldberg kicked me in the head, I honest to God, I lost about 16 million dollars in like one second. I just signed with WCW for three million a year for another three years on top of the two years I had left on my original contract, so it was bad timing, and unfortunate."- he said, as quoted by Talk Sport.
Goldberg's messages
Goldberg has said many times so far that it was the biggest mistake in his career, apologizing countless times so far. He admits that he never wanted to hurt anyone, especially Hart. The Canadian wrestler had his last performance back in 2011, performing with John Cena and winning.
Although he had a specific end to his career, he can be happy about everything he has achieved in his career.
